By creating an account or using Schoolyard, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Eligibility

Schoolyard is for parents and legal guardians who are at least 18 years old. You agree to provide accurate information about yourself and your school affiliation.

3. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.

4. Community guidelines

Schoolyard is a kind, supportive space for parents. You agree NOT to:

• Harass, threaten, bully, or impersonate any other parent.
• Share other people's children's photos, full names, or identifying information without permission.
• Post hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit, or violent content.
• Use Schoolyard for spam, advertising, recruiting, or commercial solicitation.
• Share medical, legal, or other professional advice you are not qualified to give.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, school circles, or our systems.

Violations may result in content removal, suspension, or permanent account termination.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of the messages and images you post. By posting, you grant Schoolyard a limited license to host and display your content within the service so that other verified parents can see it. You are solely responsible for the content you share.

6. Moderation

We may, but are not obligated to, monitor, review, or remove content that violates these Terms or that we otherwise consider harmful. We reserve the right to remove members from school circles to protect the community.

7. School information

School listings are provided for convenience based on public data. Schoolyard is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by any school, district, or educational institution.

8. Disclaimers

Schoolyard is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content shared by other users is accurate or appropriate. Always use your own judgment when acting on information you receive through the service.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Schoolyard and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or threaten the safety of our community.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
